Main IdentityTET Board Basic is a tuning-board synth. A normal synth says: play a note, hear an oscillator. It is not just a simple microtonal keyboard. So one played note is not just one oscillator. It becomes a large stacked oscillator body with a center core and stereo side fields.

Four-voice polyphony lets users play dense microtonal chords, wide detuned clusters, and evolving harmonic stacks while each voice carries its own 270-oscillator body. TET DivisionsTET means equal divisions of the octave. Standard Western tuning is 12-TET, meaning the octave is divided into 12 equal notes. TET Board Basic lets the user choose from 2 TET up to 144 TET.

The range is 200 Hz to 800 Hz, with the default centered around 440 Hz. Base Frequency lets users retune the entire board around a custom pitch center, making the synth useful for alternate tuning, microtonal music, and experimental pitch design. Main Control / Oscillator Delay StepThe knob labeled Main controls the oscillator delay-step behavior. This affects how the oscillator stack is spread in time. Tiny time differences across many oscillators can change the thickness, width, smear, movement, and phase feel of the note. Tap Spacing and TapsTET Board Basic includes a multi-tap layer. Tap Spacing controls the time spacing between taps. Taps controls how many tap layers are active, up to 30 taps in the interface. Tap Spacing and Taps add layered delay-body behavior inside the synth, creating thicker tones, wider motion, and more dimensional microtonal textures. Octave ShiftOct Shift moves the whole pitch field up or down. This version has an enormous range: -392 semitones to +392 semitones. Extreme Oct Shift lets users push the TET board into deep low zones, bright upper zones, and impossible experimental pitch ranges. Output GainGain controls the final output level. Because this synth can stack 270 oscillators per voice plus multi-tap layers, output control matters. Heterodyne Frequency ModesThe interface includes heterodyne mode buttons for Normal, KHz, MHz, GHz, THz, and PHz. Fold / Fold + BeatThe heterodyne section includes fold behavior with modes like Fold Only and Fold + Beat. Fold pulls the frequency behavior back into a usable sound range. Fold + Beat adds beating motion, giving the tone more movement and internal pulse. Voice FM CrossmodulationThis version includes Voice FM crossmodulation. The four synth voices can influence each other with FM-style motion. The voices can push and bend each other instead of staying completely separate. FM DepthFM Depth controls how strongly the voices influence each other. Low depth gives subtle motion. Higher depth creates stronger movement, tension, and experimental harmonic behavior. On-Screen KeyboardThe plugin includes an on-screen MIDI keyboard, making it easy to audition the TET tuning directly inside the plugin without needing an external controller.
